SPENCER EDWARDS

Following his time in minor hockey, Spencer went on to play junior hockey at the BCHL level for the Cowichan Valley Capitals, and at the WHL level for the Red Deer Rebels, Seattle Thunderbirds, and Moose Jaw Warriors where he served as team Captain in 2010. Spencer was the recipient of both the WHL and CHL Humanitarian of the Year awards in 2010.

After finishing his junior career, Spencer played hockey at the University of Calgary for 4 seasons with the Dinos while completing his university degree. Once graduating from school, he went overseas to play in the France Ligue Magnus for 4 years, winning a French Cup championship with the Amiens Gothiques in 2019.

Spencer was the head coach at the Calgary division of the Okanagan Hockey School for 4 years, and since retiring from playing has worked with both the U18 and U15 levels at St. George’s Academy in Vancouver. As a coach, his passion is towards skill development, and he uses his experiences from playing to help develop the athletes he coaches.
